Working with the Galaxis

In order to examine in detail any area (the tooth), you need to "cut window" to put on the your area of interest (the tooth). Under the window "Panorama" has three windows: "tangent", "cross" and "axial". The horizontal line in the "Window cut" indicates the position in the axial plane, the vertical line - position in the sagittal plane. Two "slider" along the window "transverse" allow to tilt the two vertical lines in the transverse and tangential cut. Two arrow buttons under the "sliders" dump slope vertical line.

Tangent section - is a longitudinal view, moreover, given the inclination of the two "sliders", located in the sidebar window "transverse", it will correspond to the intraoral dental radiographs. Cross section - a side view. Axial slice - a view from above. Near the window, "Panorama" is represented by 3-dimensional reconstruction of maxillofacial region. By clicking the right mouse button, you can select three modes of 3D-image: volumetric, volumetric soft tissue contours and surface.

Regulation "Windows slice" shows the curve of the axial line of the layer corresponding to the work area, as well as a vertical line in the transverse and longitudinal views. "Window cutting" can be moved parallel to the height and the mandibular arch.

1. Position the mouse cursor on the title bar of the "Window cutting" - will be palm.

2. Click the left mouse button and hold it down.

3. Move the mouse where you want.

When you double-click (click 2 times the left mouse button) on any point on one of the types (sections) "Window cutting" immediately moved to the desired point. It will be more convenient than to move "cut window."

With the help of the corresponding icons in the sidebar or by clicking the left mouse button and moving it up and down, you can explore all the tooth projections and at all levels. In order to see the root canal throughout the root and to evaluate the quality of the sealing, it is necessary to tilt the two "slider" on the side panel near the "Cross" box, parallel to the axis of the root canal, ie in the course of the root canal. The number of root canals in a particular tooth is best determined on the axial slice (top view), to do this, move the mouse up and down while holding down the left mouse button.

When planning the implantation of all measurements of alveolar bone height and width can be made via the icon "Ruler". To do this, stand up "window cut" on your area of interest and tilt are both "slider" on the side panel near the "cross" of the window, in the direction in which you want to set your future implant. After that the mouse to click on sidebar "line" icon and make measurements.

In the "Radiology" - on the bottom panel - You can further explore all the paranasal sinuses: maxillary sinuses (maxillary sinuses), nasal passages, a trellised labyrinth cell wedge (basic) and frontal sinus (frontal) bosom. Axial cut - top view, front section - the front view and oblique-sagittal cut - side view, which can be tilted and rotated so as you need. With the help of the corresponding icons in the sidebar or by clicking the left mouse button and moving the mouse up and down, you can learn in any sinus cut and at any level.

In addition, you can independently create a teleradiogram in the lateral and frontal projection. To do this, you need to open the "Analysis" on the top panel and select "Creep longitudinal"

Creation of a teleradiogram

After that, the "Create a cephalogram" window will appear, in which you can build the tele-radiogram as best as you can. The most important thing is to align the body and branches of the lower jaw with the arrows in the "Tilt Left / Right" and "Rotation" to the full symmetry of the right and left sides of the jaw (the body and branches of the lower jaw on both sides must coincide, creating a single clear contour).

Thus, you can create a lateral and frontal projection of the skull.

Dear colleague!

We are always happy to help you learn how to work properly with this study. Therefore, if you have any questions about the program or need consultation of a radiologist, you can always call our Polyclinic by phone +375 (17) 356-06-01 and talk with our doctor-radiologist Julia Fyodorovna Vasilieva. Moreover, you can come to visit us and consult directly on the picture, we do not need to bring CD-ROMs with you, all the research is stored in our database.
